This sacred temple, inaugurated on the same historic day i.e on 22th January 2024, as the grand Shri Ram Lala Mandir in Ayodhya, has rightfully earned the revered title of “Dwitiya Ajodhya” among devotees and the national media.
Perched atop the awe-inspiring Giri Govardhan Hill, at an elevation of 1,664 feet above sea level, the temple offers a celestial retreat for spiritual seekers. Located approximately 60km from Bhubaneswar and 40km from Nayagarh, it has become a sanctified haven, exuding the essence of Ram Chintan (the profound thoughts of Ram) and Ram Chetana (the divine consciousness of Ram) in Odisha and across India.
An architectural masterpiece, the temple is a stunning representation of Utkala’s Rekha Saili style, soaring to a height of 65feet. Crafted meticulously from Baulamala stone, its construction commenced in 2017, with more than 150 skilled artisans devoting their skill and dedication to bringing this divine vision to life. The Garbhagriha (sanctum sanctorum) enshrines the divine deities of Lord Shri Ram, Maa Sita, Lord Laxman, and Lord Hanuman, radiating an aura of divinity and spiritual grandeur. The temple complex also features revered shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman, Lord Ganesh and Lord Aditya, making it a profound spiritual hub.
