Welcome to DWITIYA AJODHYA
Gracefully perched amidst the picturesque landscapes of Fategarh, Nayagarh, the Dwitiya Ajodhya Shri Ram Mandir stands as a radiant emblem of faith, devotion, and divine consciousness. Inaugurated on the same historic day as Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Mandir, it has earned the revered title of “Dwitiya Ajodhya” among devotees and national media. Rising atop the awe-inspiring Giri Govardhan Hill at 1,664 feet, this architectural marvel, crafted from Baulamala stone in the Rekha Saili style, enshrines Lord Shri Ram, Maa Sita, Lord Laxman, and Lord Hanuman. A sacred sanctuary of tranquility and reverence, it embodies eternal devotion and the celestial essence of Ramayana, illuminating the path of dharma, bhakti, and seva for generations to come.

Historical Significance of Dwitiya Ajodhya
Situated near the revered Adya Kshetra of Lord Jagannath at the sacred Nilamadhab Temple in Kantilo, Dwitiya Ajodhya stands as an esteemed pilgrimage destination of profound historical and spiritual eminence. As the origin site of Lord Jagannath, the Nilamadhab Temple holds an exalted place in Sanatan tradition, drawing ardent devotees from across the nation.
Perched atop the magnificent Giri Govardhan hill at an elevation of 1,664 feet, Dwitiya Ajodhya is intrinsically linked to the momentous discovery of Lord Jagannath’s sacred Sudarshan Chakra in 1912 an event meticulously chronicled in the Skanda Purana and Brahma Purana. This divine terrain is enriched by the illustrious history of Kaliapali village, nestled at the base of Dhangidi Mountain, which was once home to the revered Sabar King Biswabasu, an ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath.
For over five centuries, Giri Govardhan hill has been venerated as a celestial force, believed to bestow prosperity and ensure bountiful rainfall. The village of Fategarh perpetuates a 300year old tradition of enacting the Ramlila, paying homage to Lord Shree Ram and further strengthening the region’s cultural and religious heritage. Enhancing its sanctity is the worship of Feteh Hanuman (Mukha), a rare and deeply venerated manifestation of Lord Hanuman, cherished by the local community.
Located nearly 10 kilometers from the iconic Singhanath Temple celebrated for its intricate carvings depicting the legendary battle between Vanara Kings Bali and Sugriva, Dwitiya Ajodhya endures as an eternal emblem of faith, devotion, and heritage. With its profound spiritual resonance and unparalleled historical significance, this sacred site remains an everlasting beacon of divine inspiration for countless pilgrims and devotees worldwide.
